1-1/2 t. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 c. flour
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
1-1/2 t. sugar
1-1/2 T. shortening
Scald milk. Add shortening. Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Sift dry ingredients. Add milk and yeast. Mix well. Let rise 10 minutes. Roll out and cut into squares. Cook in hot oil.
