1/2 c. sugar
4 whole cloves
1/2 t. ground allspice
1 cinnamon stick
juice of 4 lemons or scant 2/3 c. lemon juice
Combine all but lemon in a pan. Slowly bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and then stir in lemon. Drink hot. Store leftovers in fridge.
